The direct camera contact surface is made of special fabrics selected by ZengCamera. We are the world’s only lacquer art (repaint) studio that produces the post-customized Reporter version. The lacquer art (repaint) finish of this MP model perfectly matches the hand-applied gold-sprinkled black lizard skin on the camera body.
The Reporter version is a genuine photojournalism camera built to withstand even the harshest shooting environments. The gold-sprinkled black lizard skin adds a luxurious visual touch to the serious, utilitarian Reporter edition.
Care & Maintenance

All ZengCamera repainted finishes are hand‑sprayed with professional multi‑layer coating for enhanced durability and texture. To preserve the appearance and longevity of your custom finish, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Cleaning Wipe the surface gently with a soft, lint‑free microfiber cloth.Do not use alcohol, thinner, benzene, or other harsh chemicals.Avoid abrasive pads or brushes that may scratch the paint.
  2. Handling & Use Prevent sharp impacts, scrapes, or friction against keys, coins, or tools.Avoid prolonged contact with sweat, seawater, or cosmetics.Do not peel or pick at edges or corners.
  3. Storage Store in a cool, dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, high temperature, and humidity.Use a padded camera case for daily carry to minimize scratches.
  4. About Hand‑Finished Surfaces This is a 100% handcrafted repaint with premium paint and clear coat.Minor variations in texture are normal and reflect its handmade character.With proper care, the finish will remain durable for daily street and high‑intensity use.
